BIOGRAPHY

I am a creative entrepreneur, building, advising and investing in consumer companies.

I am Founder and Board Advisor at Mixcloud (audio streaming platform focused on DJs and radio), Founder at Loka (premium South Asian product design brand), Chairman at Wax Poetics (media company/platform for music collectors and collectibles) and Board Advisor at Qube (creative coworking spaces). Outside of the startup space, I spent some time at Polaroid on the leadership team, leading the music and digital categories.

My social impact interests centre around social justice, wellbeing and sustainability. I am currently Board Chair of UK non-profit Dialled In and sit on the board of NYC non-profit STEM From Dance. Previously I was a a trustee for UK charities The Hackney Empire and East London Dance. I am also a pledger and Ambassador of Founders Pledge.

Creatively, I have a passion for music — DJing, playing jazz piano and previously running an electronic music record label/clubnight, MakeMusic. One of my lockdown highlights was facilitating a creative community of 70 people who completed The Artists Way together and continue to support each other’s creative pursuits today.

I love dance & movement, and formed a project called Dance Club, which sat at the intersection of a dance class and a clubnight. I also thrive on practicing yoga and completed a 250 hour teacher training with Carl Faure and Calli Popham at the brilliant Stretch Studio in Hackney.
