I love speaking to passionate entrepreneurs who are building brilliant products and solving important problems — both startups and not for profits. I particularly like working with founders who have first hand experience (and frustrations!) of the problems they are solving, giving them unusual levels of motivation to fix them.

As an advisor, my goal is to build a close, trusting relationship with founders as quickly as possible, so that they can talk openly and honestly and I can support them through the hard things. Some of the topics I end up covering include:

• Sounding board for major decisions and challenges

• Goal setting, prioritisation and focus

• Fundraising

• Introductions to subject matter experts and domain experts for specific questions

• Brand, marketing, sales

• People, culture, org design

I am looking to take on 1 or 2 new advisory roles in 2021.
